Mobi Impact sockets are made of Chrome-Molybdenum Steel
(Cr-Mo) which is a high-strength alloy known for toughness and
durability under high torque applications.
These sockets are often coated in black oxide to resist corrosion
and prevent chipping compared to standard chrome-plated
sockets.
Mobi Impact sockets are designed with thicker walls and softer
but tougher steel (Cr-Mo) compared to chrome-vanadium (Cr-V)
hand sockets.
This allows them to absorb sudden torque loads without cracking.
Six-point (hex) design is most common, providing a better grip on
fasteners and reducing rounding.
The range features long and standard versions for different
clearance requirements.
Retaining ring or pin holes for impact wrench compatibility.
Sizes are laser-etched for readability.
1/2” drive impact socket information:
Here’s a detailed overview of torque ratings for 1/2-inch drive Chrome Moly (Cr-Mo) impact sockets:
Torque ratings depend on factors like; socket size, steel grade, and manufacturing standards. For Chrome Molybdenum impact sockets (Cr-Mo), they are generally designed to handle the high torque produced by pneumatic or electric impact wrenches.
Approximate working torque ranges:
• Minimum: ~1150 ft-lb (200 Nm)
• Typical operating range: 300–600 ft-lb (400–800 Nm)
• Max intermittent torque: ~1,000–1,200 ft-lb (1,350–1,600 Nm)
